When it comes to nightlife in Wales, The local, pub is the normally preferred venue of choice.

In Wales, bars and pubs are at the hub of social life; places where you meet and make new friends, eat, drink, chat and often hear live bands, choirs, and if you’re lucky a Welsh folk group. In Anglesey or Snowdonia, there are plenty of pubs and bars where you can check out the local musical samplings whilst downing a pint of your favorite Welsh beer.

Cardiff’s vibrant nightlife has over 350 pubs, clubs and bars. It never stops! Bangor also has a kicking nightlife. The large student population keeps it buzzing till way into the early hours. Check out the Bangor’s Octagon nightclub, if you’re up to it! In Llandudno, the place to go is Mostyn Street. It literally has every kind of bar imaginable.

Llandudno's North Wales Theatre, is home to live music, West End Shows and various local productions. Also worth checking out is the Clwyd Theatre in Cymru, near Mold; another cultural hot spot offering a blend of classical and contemporary theatre. Gwynedd Theatre in Bangor often showcases art-house films, operas, musical and film festivals.
If this is all too reserved or “arty” and you just wanna see a movie, head for the multi-screen cinema complex at Llandudno, for a wide choice of Hollywood blockbusters.
